This full-bodied red wine from Hess Collection Winery offers lovely intense flavours of mocha, plush plums and berries. So very tasty and happy. Perfect for movie night. Terrific concentration, depth and richness with a satisfyingly long finish. Try it with hearty meat dishes.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: gorgonzola topped sirloin, grilled veggies, herb-crusted poultry, hearty meat dishes, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

The Hess Allomi vineyary in the heart of Napa Valley, produces incredible Cab Sauv. Their 2012 vintage is a great example of that. Incredible structure, the fruit, tannin, and acidity are all in check, beautifully! A fantastic wine to enjoy with prime beef cuts. 93 points. Tasted March 2015. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A beautiful experience from start to finish. This full-bodied Napa Cabernet Sauvignon is inky in the glass. Intense concentration of aromas and flavours of ripe dark berries, plum, baking spices, leather and a long caramel/toffee finish.Tannins are smoothing; acidity a bright medium+. I would experience this wine with finer cuts of beef or sip on it's own and let that toffee and caramel finish linger. Enjoy over the next 5+ years.

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Rustic, robust, and fruity. Berry notes are prominent with hints of fresh savoury herb (sage and tomato leaf) notes peeking in between. The palate shows enticing notes of raspberry, blackberry, anise and mocha. This is a full-bodied red with chewy young tannins and long cocoa finish. Enjoy pairing with braised lamb. This well-respected Californian winery sources grapes for this wine grown in the Allomi Vineyard which is planted in the gently rolling hills of southeastern Napa Valley. The warmer, elevated benchland benefits from an extended growing season for Cabernet Sauvignon. Pair with herb-crusted chicken. - Community Wine Reviews
