Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Henry of Pelham made me a convert to Baco Noir a few years back. This Reserve Baco Noir is medium-bodied and smooth with just the right amounts of earthiness, sweet cigar, blackberry, dark cherry, black pepper and sweet baking spices. Great Niagara acidity that cleanses and preps the palate for more! Lingering sweet cigar finish. Superb winemaking from a tricky vintage. Pair with your favourite roasted or grilled red meats or try with a meat lovers pizza. I just sip and savour.
Tasted: January 2016
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This delicious Back Noir is a showstopper. It has alluring aromas of juicy blackberry, earthiness, spice, cigar and hints of leather. The wine has a full bodied mouthfeel with leather and blueberries being more prevalent on the palate. Well balanced, soft tannins, smooth finish. This wine was a great accompaniment to homemade burgers on the grill.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Beautifully balanced, full-bodied, velvety tannins, perfect acidity - just gorgeous. Juicy plum, raspberry, earth, rose petals, tobacco leaf on the nose and palate. Try this wine with your next grilled burger. Tasted March 31, 2016 - Taste Ontario
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Aromatic notes of ripe blackberry and cassis with a touch of smoke lead into a full-bodied, robust palate displaying dark berries, Damson plums, vanilla and toasted oak. Good acidity and long delicious finish. Would buy this again!
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A sensuous Baco Noir! Opaque ruby in the glass, with earthy, wild blueberries, baking spices, licorice, and a hint of leather on the nose. A soft mouth feel, with a lasting juicy blueberry finish. It will keep you coming back for more!
Tasted January 2016.
Terry Jeans - Certified S rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Still one of the best Baco Noirs on the market for a reasonable price. A complex, layered nose of dark fruit, coffee, cocoa and underbrush. It is full-bodied and rich, with ripe dark fruit, smoke and medium tannins. I would say that it is the complete package and should be enjoyed with a hearty beef stew. Worth buying a few and keeping around for a 3-5 years to see how it evolves.
Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Still the best Baco Noir around…
Presentation: A little busy with the vine but it is distinctive. I like the signatures of the 3 brothers in the back
Appearance: Medium-dark ruby
Nose: Meat, leather, pepper, savoury spices, dark fruits
Taste: Savoury spices, leather.
Finish: Leather comes out.
Overall impression: An interesting complex wine that needs grilled meats, meaty pizzas and other red-sauce pasta dishes.
Value: 3 out of 5
Bill Wright Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Smoky and oaky on the nose. Hints of meat and a little gamey, but in a nice way. Full bodied, Long smoky finish.

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lots of woodsy notes on the nose, along with currant, and vanilla. Red berry mingles with earthy notes on the palate. Full flavours and a soft finish. Pair with rich meat dishes, even game, or a hearty winter stew.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Dark fruit, blueberry and smoke dominate the nose and palate. The finish is soft and velvety.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

One of the finest single varietal expressions of Baco Noir you can find, anywhere. Henry of Pelham continues to impress Baco lovers with this incredibly rich, round and luscious reserve wine. Dark fruits, roasted peppers, black currant on the nose. The palate is round and full. Always a fan favourite, this Baco Noir Reserve delivers on quality and complexity every vintage! Tasted October 2015. 90 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Top marks, for Ontario Baco. This wine would be a good reference point for what kind of quality Baco is capable of, when it isn't treated like a workhorse varietal.
Darkly pigmented - deep garnet with lots of glasscoating purple.
You can catch the aromas almost 6 inches away from the glass - jeeze. There are notes of bacon fat, bootblack, charcoal, jammy blueberry, blackberry, cassis, and coffee.
Flavours are actually a lot more fruit forward, with all those gushy fruit showing through. Heft and oak aside, it's quite gentle and plush. Approachable now. Dig in!
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The Henry of Pelham Winery Reserve Baco Noir 2013 is a great bottle! Aromas of blackberry, earthiness and spice. On the palate this full bodied wine has a nice long finish. Tasted January 31, 2016 (90/100)
Cora Beaulieu rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby purple and opaque. Delicate aromas of red cherry, raspberry, blackberry, spiced plum, dark and earthy with coffee, spices, savory herbs, licorice, along with a touch of espresso, mocha and oak. It's full bodied with a generous mouth feel and a lip-smacking aftertaste. The palate is coated supply with the well balanced and rich tannins. Robust flavors of berries, cherries, currants dotted by herbs, black pepper, spices and chocolate. Moderately smooth and long finish with a hint of fruit. Best to pair this with BBQ’d food.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Dark ruby/purple, the nose shows roast coffee bean, sour cherry, berry and light herb notes. Full bodied, rich and extracted, with tart cherry, plum, dark berry fruit, smoke tinged and spiced with noted residual sugar sweetness. Pulled pork would be perfect here.
Tasted Oct 2015.
Gwen Barton reviewed this wine as follows:

Great example of Canadian Baco Noir. Multi-layered nose beginning with spice and cinnamon, followed by jammy dark fruit, leather, liquorice and chocolate. Full mouth feel, well balanced with gentle tannins. Next time I serve steak with mushrooms, I'm buying this one!
