From the Short Hills Bench, Niagara Escarpment Wine Region, Henry Of Pelham Estates Chardonnay is rich and layered with ripe pear, yellow apples, lemon pudding, vanilla cream and toasty on the palate with good acidity for food. An elegant Chardonnay to pair with buttered lobster rolls.

Chardonnay food pairings: crab legs, corn dishes, stuffed chicken breast.

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is an absolutely delightful Chardonnay; showing off the ripeness of the 2016 vintage. Henry of Pelham are a solid producer that remain true to Niagara Escarpment in style. This Chard has cool climate fruit, density, but a soft texture and a whap of oak that comes through.
Sunny yellow colour, look for vanilla cream, coconut husk, smoke, banana, and pineapple.
Soft acidity. Dry and medium to full flavours of orchard fruit, more pineapple, honeyed notes, and a lingering smokiness on the finish.
Great value for a quality Chard that should last well for a few years in the cellar. Pair it tonight with scallops on some angelhair pasta.
The Chardonnay from Henry Of Pelham Estates on the Short Hills Bench, Niagara Escarpment Wine Region is medium-plus-bodied, dry, rich and layered with ripe pear, yellow apples, lemon curd, vanilla, smoke, toasty and creamy on the palate with good acidity for food. So easy to enjoy with grilled pork chops. - Community Wine Reviews
