Gorgeous aromas of fleshy dark cherries on the nose are followed by those flavours on the palate. Supple, smooth and silky with a medium-bodied weight. Lovely layers of field berries. Long finish. Perfect for planked salmon.

The 2011 Flat Rock Cellars Pinot Noir, aged in French Oak for 12 months, has intense aromas of toast, rosehip, dates, prune and subtle vanilla. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine, with forward acidity, notable tannins and a medium to long finish. Drink this wine with food; drink now – 2018. My impression: NICE, 88-89 pts – good value wine. Tasted at 'Taste Ontario 2013' http://grapeselections.com/taste-ontario-2013/ in October/13.

Kicked off #CanadaDay weekend with this wine. Everything I expect from cool climate Pinot. Lighter body, pale ruby red. Nice plum, cassis, spice and oak. A little herbal. Would like to taste in another year or two. Enjoyed with chicken parm. Good value.
The 2011 Estate Pinot Noir is a wine that exemplifies our approach to viticulture & winemaking, year after year. All fruit is sourced from a mixture of our seven unique parcels in the vineyard, which are further subdivided by harvest date, fermentation vessel & barrel selections. The 2011 season proved challenging due to late season rains but it was the careful selection during harvest and gentle winemaking that lifts this wine to a superior expression of our vines.
