A pleasant Chilean Pinot Noir from the cool climate Casablanca Valley. Aromas of sour cherry and smoke. Juicy acidity for seafood. The vineyards are planted on the outskirts of the town of Molina.

Pinot Noir food pairings: grilled flank steak, venison stew, baked partridge in wild mushroom sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Soft and elegant, showing cherries, sweet spice, sous bois and dark chocolate on this aromatic prize-winning Pinot from Chile. Made from hand-picked grapes for optimal fruit expression, using vegetarian and vegan winemaking techniques. Pinot Noir is so versatile with a variety of foods, from cod stew to roast duck to chocolate mousse. Will cellar 5-6 years.

Alana L rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

At Leña in Toronto - such a gorgeous spot for post-dinner drinks prior to tomorrow’s "A Taste of Veneto" Food and Wine Master Class at George Brown College. Tasting Echeverria Gran Reserva Pinot Noir 2017.

Tasting notes would be ‘deep garnet red in colour, medium bodied, notes of berries, plum, tea leaves and mocha on the palate. Well rounded and soft tannins. James Suckling rated it 93 which for a wine retailed at $15.95 at Ontario’s LCBO is certainly order-worthy. This Echeverria Gran Reserva Pinot Noir 2017 from Chile’s Casablanca Valley benefits from it’s location near the ocean that is ideal for this varietal: lovely wine for a lovely evening.
Echeverria Gran Reserva 2016 is a dry, medium-bodied Pinot Noir from vineyards on the outskirts of Molina in the Casablanca Valley. Great price point on this spicy, fresh red berry Pinot Noir. Tannins are chewy, pair with grilled meats. - Community Wine Reviews
