Natalie's Score: 93/100

From Napa Valley, California, Duckhorn 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied, rich and concentrated Cab with 7% Merlot and 2% Cab Franc added to the mix. Elegant and generous with ripe dark fruits, dark berry, cassis and spiced plum flavours savoury and lingering on the palate. Pour it with roast duck or pork. In 2020, many California vineyards were hit with wildfires and/or smoke taint to the point where some wineries were unable to produce any red wines. Duckhorn tested their fruit thoroughly before making this wine.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: rib roast, roast chicken, roast breast of veal.
