Reviews and Ratings

Neil Phillips rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Heady nose of cola, coconut, stewed red & black berries, Christmas cake with dark raisins.

On the palate, the long wood ageing dominates, making this a full wine with a long finish. Cola is present throughout. Tannins are well-integrated.

A decent Rioja with classic profile.

Tasted May 2019.
Don Jacobo 2011 is produced by Bodegas Corral, a Rioja Reserva with a traditional blend of mostly Tempranillo (90%) and smaller amounts of Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano grapes. Look for dried fruit and earthy florals and meaty flavours on this full-bodied red. Tannins are velvety. - Community Wine Reviews
