This wine is a blend of 70% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre and 20% Syrah grapes. Tremendous value for this price. This southern French red wine from the Rhone is brought to us by Plan De Dieu Aubert Frères. Tasty, full-bodied and delicious! Aromas of cedar, black fruit, smoke and juicy black cherry. Pair with grilled steak.

Food pairings: gourmet hamburgers, grilled pork chops, barbecued steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This is a blend of 70% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre and 20% Syrah grapes. Opened in 2020, this Cote du Rhone Village's deep ruby colour tinged garnet hues was attractive to the eyes. On the nose and the medium bodied palate, cassis, currants, sweet spices and cedar all held starring roles. Its velvety mouthfeel and an extended fruit finish both added to this experience offered by this GSM. Don’t hesitate. Drink now. Enjoy.

This Côtes Du Rhône-Villages from Domaine Le Grand Retour Plan De Dieu (2015) is brought to us by Plan De Dieu Aubert Frères. The wine is elegant with black cherry, dark chocolate and soft spice notes. This full-bodied wine is a blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre wine grapes. Great now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews
