From Prince Edward County wine region, Closson Chase Churchside 2019 Pinot Noir is a fresh and fragrant with cherry, ripe raspberry, subtle spicy, savoury and smoky aromas and flavours with just a kiss of toasted oak on the palate. Dry, medium-bodied showing finesse, elegance and power, enticing and silky with fine-grained tannins. Pinot Noir grapes for this vintage were destemmed and cold-soaked up to give days prior to fermentation in large oak barrels. The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 18 months (20% new). Drink or hold.

Pinot Noir food pairings: veal roast, roast turkey, roast leg of lamb, veal Porterhouse, Osso Buco.
