Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A classic Bordeaux wine, Chateau Le Grand Verdus 2016 offers a lovely weekday wine. Aromas of dark cherry, black plum, tobacco leaf, truffle, pipe tobacco cola and oak. Medium-bodied, this Bordeaux Superieur provides a delicate acidity and a round finish. Crafted from 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, Chateau Le Grand Verdus will satisfy any Bordeaux wine lover. Palate: tart cherry, plum, menthol, graphite, baking spice and oak. Enjoy.
Château Le Grand Verdus 2016 is a great value Bordeaux under $20. Produced by Philippe et Antoine le Grix de la Salle from the Entre-Deux-Mers wine region, So sensuous on the nose with rich plum, blueberry, black cherry, dark chocolate and earthy flavours on the palate. tannins are fine and there is great acidity for food on this full-bodied 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon red wine blend. Pair with a filet mignon. This vintage was awarded Grand Gold at the 2018 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. - Community Wine Reviews
