Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Bright medium ruby. Aromas of red cherries, herbs, balsamic honey, and vanilla. Full bodied, extra dry, round mature tannins, and intense juicy acidity. Silky mouthfeel of ripe berries. Would pair well with spaghetti and meat sauce, tomato sauce pizza, or mushroom risotto. Score 89. (S.Segard, Reviewed Jan. 15, 2017)
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Bright ruby red, 13.5% ABV. This ripasso is true to character. Vibrant tart cherry, savoury herb, tomato leaf and old world earthy notes. Well balanced, integrating well. racy acidity, medium fruit, medium tannins and medium body. Enjoy this Valpolicella with tomato based pasta dishes for a sure fit. tasted Jan 2017. Rated 89/100.

Aromas of raspberry, warm spices, cherries, oak and vanilla. On the palate, an explosion of jammy red cooked berries, dry, with a long, lingering finish. Full bodied with just the right amount of acidity and tannins. Serve with tomato pasta/meat dishes, pizza..
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Aromas of sour cherry and oak.Medium body with some mouth watering acidity. Light tannins and dried cherry flavours. Medium finish. Pair with a mushroom risotto drizzled with a Ripasso reduction. Tasted January 15, 2017.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Luscious aromas of ripe plum, dark cherry preserves, cinnamon and vanilla. Full-bodied with dark fruit flavours and earthy undertones. Pair with veal or tomato pasta. Tasted January 15, 2017.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Major smoke, spice (cinnamon), and stewed fruit aromas hit you upfront. The palate is smooth with dominant earthy underbrush, baking spice, tobacco leaf, and dried fig flavours. Acidity is high (which I welcome) but lacks balance and structure. It's an amazing wine with salty dishes, though. Enjoy this Ripasso with pesto, parmesan, and prosciutto pizza. Melanie Aubert rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Ripasso is generally a safe bet for pizzas and pastas. This one has lots of red fruit, baking spice, dried fruit, herbaceousness, smoke and a bit of gaminess that would lend itself well to roast meats.
Sharon Lécuyer rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Aromas of raspberry and leather. This wine has long legs, is Full bodied, extra dry, with medium astringency. Pair with Italian pasta or tomato dishes.

What a great value on this Italian Valpolicella Ripasso from the Veneto wine growing region. Bolla has been instrumental in promoting and in benchmarking Veneto wines. Classico Superiore (2014) is a great show of this with its complex and layered rich, red plum and berry fruit and dried fruit flavours. Pair with your favourite veal Parmigiano dish. - Community Wine Reviews
