Aged four months in barrel before a second fermentation on freshly fermented Amarone skins for 20 more days. Aged 18 months in cask prior to bottling. Perfect for a meat lover's pizza.

Bolla 2016 is a classic, well-priced under $20, medium-bodied Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore from the Veneto wine region. Tart cherry, fine dried herbs, dusty tannins and perfect with a meaty pasta in tomato sauce dish. This wine was aged four months before a 20-day second fermentation on freshly fermented and pressed Amarone skins. Aged 18 months in oak casks prior to bottling. - Community Wine Reviews
