Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Deep purple coloured wine with a pronounced nose featuring blackberries, black plum, wet stones, soy sauce, blackcurrant, black pepper and savoury and earthy notes. A dry wine, with medium + acidity and tannin and a medium body, high alcohol.
The juicy fruit flavours with that funky earthiness and spice repeat on the palate. Delicious with Tuscan ham, manchego cheese and Swiss Style Smoked Beef (Bundnerfleisch) that is dry cured and double smoked for enhanced flavour. The smokiness of the Swiss Smoked beef plays well into the earthiness and savoury notes of the wine. Fantastic with dark chocolate!
