This wine gets better every year! What I love about 2016 is that it has all the character, but the alcohol is now lower than in the past at 13.5%. A remarkably well-made BC red wine from one of the province's top producers. Full-bodied, yet elegance and balanced with a long finish. Aromas of cassis, black currant and dark spice. This is a proprietary Meritage blend that includes Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. Pair with rare filet mignon.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A gorgeous BC Bordeaux style wine that blends 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 15% Cabernet Franc. Aromas of ripe blackberry, plum and raspberry along with notes of cedar, eucalyptus, smoke and warm spicy hints. Full bodied on the palate, with smooth velvety tannins, bright acidity, and lots of plum and blackberry on the palate, with some spice, mineral and leather hints on the finish. Enjoy with a grilled steak.
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A beautiful Bordeaux blend from the Okanagan Valley, BC - Cab Sauv, Merlot and Cab Franc. Aromas of eucalyptus, anise, and blackberries express the best of what this timeless blend brings. Blackberry persists to the finish line, with a lingering fruit finale.
Pair with red meat, or hearty bean salads.
Tasted July 2018.
