Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of peach, tropical fruit, with hints of petrol, chalk, and loads of minerality.

Medium bodied, dry, and somewhat round on the palate with fresh tartness. Granny Smith apple and tropical fruit flavours along with lime and saline. A patio friendly wine that would pair well with tempura fried salty appetizers.

Tasted at the Pure Discovery New Zealand Wine event in Ottawa May 2019.
Sylvio Roy rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Nicely balanced, dry white wine. Rich and fruity on the palate with fruit on the nose. Beautiful light gold colour and very drinkable wine from a winery that has been producing for three generations.
Babich Black Label 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is bright and fruity with mango, stone-fruit and mineral aromas on the nose. Dry, medium-bodied with tropical and stone-fruit and clean mineral flavours on the palate. Food-friendly with racy acidity for shellfish. The winery is certified sustainable and has been producing wine for three generations. - Community Wine Reviews
