From Marlborough, South Island, Babich Black Label 2020 Sauvignon Blanc is a dry, medium-bodied, mouth-watering, savoury and sagey SB with fresh pear, mango and flinty mineral flavours leesy and creamy on the palate. Amazing food-friendly acidity for grilled prawns or seafood chowders. Produced from sustainably-grown grapes.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A vibrant Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand’s Babich Wines. The Black Label savvy shows elements of citrus peel, pear freshly chopped herbs wafting from the glass. Flavours too, are incredibly mouthwatering with nicely balanced zesty acidity showing tropical guava, peach, melon and pomelo lingering into the clean, dry finish. A really nice sipper on its own or with chicken and sushi dishes. Enjoy!
