Benmarco Dominio Del Plata Malbec 2013, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina: A robust and vibrant red wine that offers lots of pleasure in every glass. Coffee, mocha and espresso on a black fruit layers of full-bodied goodness. Smoky to the finish. Unfined and unfiltered before bottling and produced by Dominio del Plata. Famiglia Bianchi Chardonnay 2014, San Rafael, Mendoza, Argentina: Lovely Argentine Chardonnay, especially for the price! Rich and round white wine, with green apple aromas and a toasty goodness. The grapes for this Chardonnay were handpicked and then the wine was barrel-fermented for extra creaminess and texture. There's some golden lemon notes on the finish. Lots of toasty oak. Leaves you longing for more. Produced by Valentín Bianchi, this is an amazing robust Chardonnay for the money! The grapes are hand-picked and the wine is 100% barrel fermented for 8 months. Château Bellevue La Forêt Rosé 2014, Fronton, Southwest A.C., France: Brought to us by Philip Grant, Proprietor, this dry, very elegant, lovely French rosé offers everything you want: great rosehip-dry cherry taste yet not overbearing. The iron and quartz content of the gravel soils in which the vines for this wine are planted are perfectly suited to the Négrette grapes used for this wine. Very balanced rosé with outdoorsy, meadow fresh aromas, including wild berries. Spectacularly great price! Perfect aperitif or companion to seafood or cold chicken sandwiches. Torres Viña Esmeralda 2013, Catalunya, Spain: This wine takes its name from the emerald colour of the Mediterranean. There’s no oak on this aromatic blend of mostly muscat (Moscatel) grapes with some gewürztraminer grapes, that grow in the mountains of north-east Spain. A lovely honeysuckle finish. Simply divine even at triple the price it is. Stunningly lovely white floral notes along with some lychee and white melon. So, so pretty as an aperitif or with fresh seafood. Highly recommended.
