This wine takes its name from the emerald colour of the Mediterranean. There’s no oak on this aromatic blend of mostly muscat (Moscatel) grapes with some gewürztraminer grapes, that grow in the mountains of north-east Spain. A lovely honeysuckle finish. Simply divine even at triple the price it is. Stunningly lovely white floral notes along with some lychee and white melon. So, so pretty as an aperitif or with fresh seafood. Highly recommended. Try it with Asian dishes and mild to medium curries.

Food pairings: seafood.

Reviews and Ratings

Nicole Lougheed rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Great to revisit a wine and find it as impressive (if not more so) than you remember it. Enticing aromas of white flowers, lychee, minerals and what I could have mistaken for petrol. However there's no Riesling here - this is a blend of Moscatel & Gewürztraminer. On the palate, it has more weight than I expected. Off-dry with rich flavours of apricot and ripe melon balanced by zingy citrus and some spice on the finish. Lots of complexity, easy drinking & $15 - what's not to like?
