A barely off-dry aromatic blend of Moscatel and Gewürztraminer so fragrant and pretty with white florals and soft citrus aromas. Love the fresh grapey, lychee, soft spice, vanilla and mineral flavours on the palate. Chill and pair with mildly spiced curries.

White food pairings: grilled shrimp, fish tacos, crab cakes.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Fruity and floral! Aromas of peach, melon, lychee, and honeyuckle. Off dry, and medium bodied on the palate with lots of ripe fruit (peach and pear) on the palate and more floral notes. Pair with a mild curry dish or citrusy shrimp pasta.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This is always a pleasant, fun wine. It has an aromatic, floral nose with hint of honey and clover. It is just off-dry with a clean, round palate. Melon and ripe peach notes dominate on the palate. Highly quaffable! Pair with Thai food, shrimp or crab. Tasted August 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
From the Catalunya wine region, Viña Esmeralda 2017 is a great value Muscat and Gewürztraminer white wine blend under $15. A lovely sniffer, fresh and tasty with grapey, melon, citrus zest flavours with a spicy, clean and satisfying finish. Chill and enjoy with smoked salmon Bennies and herbed quiches. - Community Wine Reviews
