This wine is matured for 14 months in small oak casks followed by another 12 months aging in the bottle before it goes to market. This is a 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot Chianti Classico Riserva from the Tuscany wine region aged one year in French oak barriques (50% new). On the palate, there are wild strawberries, ripe raspberry, red berry and dried herb flavours. Long red berry and spicy finish. Tannins are structured with great acidity for food.
