A rustic, robust Italian red wine with tart black fruit and lots of oak. A big wine with lots of acidity on the palate. Full-bodied. Pair with pasta in meat or tomato-based sauces.

Food pairings: tomato sauce and pasta, vegetarian lasagna with rich tomatoe sauce, three cheese pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Sylvain rated this wine as 92/100
Victoria Clark Clark rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Nice medium body, gets fruitier as time wears on. Complex array of aromas: getting fruit at the same time as grass. Lovely with a meal.
A rustic, full-bodied Italian red blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot grapes. Zesty acidity here with fresh black fruit, blueberries, white flowers and vanilla finish. Firm tannins and lots of oak on this Super Tuscan. Drink now and into 2019. - Community Wine Reviews
