Terrunyo Concha Y Toro Carmenère 2010, Cachapoal Valley, Chile: Superb in every way! The grapes for this robust Chilean red wine were sourced from the estate's Peumo Vineyard. Winemaker Ignacio Recabarren hones his craft on this single-vineyard bottling. The Spanish word Terrunyo means terroir. Complex, deep, savoury and bursting with luscious black fruit aromas and flavours. This wine gives and gives right out to a long finish. It'll have you asking, "Where's the beef?" The Vintages catalogue says 2011 but we tasted 2010. Brought to us by Concha Y Toro. Yum! Drink: 2012-2017. 562892 14.50% XD 750 mL  $29.95 Score: 93/100. February 7, 2015 Top Rated Red Wine. Poliziano Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano 2011, Tuscany D.O.C.G., Italy: Luxurious dark satin fruit with fleshy sinful goodness in this full-bodied red wine. Smoke and black plums roll off the long finish. Liquid gorgeous. Give this some cellar time before opening, then decant 2 hours when you do. Try it with rare filet mignon. Drink: 2013-2018. 988055 14.50% XD 750 mL  $29.95 Score: 93/100. April 18, 2015 Top Rated Red Wine. Voluptuous Veal Wine Full Review
Le Ragose Ripasso Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2010, Veneto D.O.C., Italy: Rustic, dry and terrific with distinctive aromas of maturity: think tanned leather, violets, dried herbs and wild black cherry though not fruity. Nice mouth-watering acidity for a variety of dishes. Highly recommended. Finishes with cedar smoke, violets, and black tart cherry. Drink: 2013-2019. 991984 13.50% XD 750 mL  $21.95 Score: 92/100. April 15, 2015 Luscious Lamb Wine Full Review
Louis M. Martini Cabernet Sauvignon 2011, Napa Valley, California, United States: This blockbuster Californian red wine needs more cellar time: it's just a baby, but a bruiser. Full-bodied, complex and layered with aromas of cassis, blackcurrant, dried herbs, tobacco leaves and cigar box. Decant 1-2 hours and pair with rare filet mignon. Wow. Drink: 2016-2023. 232371 14.40% D 750 mL  $67.95 Score: 93/100. February 1, 2015 Top Rated Red Wine. Best Beef Wine Full Review
