Superb in every way! The grapes for this robust Chilean red wine were sourced from the estate's Peumo Vineyard. Winemaker Ignacio Recabarren hones his craft on this single-vineyard bottling. The Spanish word Terrunyo means terroir. Complex, deep, savoury and bursting with luscious black fruit aromas and flavours. This wine gives and gives right out to a long finish. It'll have you asking, "Where's the beef?" The Vintages catalogue says 2011 but we tasted 2010. Brought to us by Concha Y Toro. Yum!

Carmenère food pairings: venison, lamb, pork, beef.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Seductive, complex, balanced, and robust. This wine screams quality, and refinement. Luscious, packed with fruit, herbs, and minerality. Smooth and focused, this is a wine to enjoy now or lay down for 10 years and enjoy its evolution. 93 points. Tasted January 2015. Matt Steeves www.quercusvino.ca
From the Peumo Vineyard Block 27, this is a superb red wine. Grapes are sourced from Entre Cordilleras, Peumo and Cachapoal Valley where the climate is sunny, sub-humid Mediterranean with pronounced daily temperature variation. The vines are planted in alluvial clay loam 170 metres above sea level. - Community Wine Reviews
