Filo di Seta, translates to "Silk Thread" and is the name of a creek that flows through the nearby forest. The Sangiovese vines are located at an altitude of 350 metres and are northwest facing. Fermentation starts in stainless-steel tanks with a short cold maceration (below 20°C) up to 20 hours on grape skins, followed by up to 20 days of maceration at a warmer, controlled temperatures. Gravels provided the wine's, ripe peach and tropical fruit notes with clay loamy soils giving the wine its herbaceous, citrusy, mineral notes. The wine juice was cool-fermented in stainless-steel tanks to retain its pure and fresh fruit flavours. It was then left to rest on its lees to develop texture and complexity.
