A full-bodied Italian red wine blend of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes. The wine was repassed over Amarone skins to deepen colour, weight and flavour, thus the name ripasso. Aromas of black cherry, smoke and dark spice. Pair with rack of lamb.

Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore food pairings: rich meat pasta with richer tomato sauce, roasts, blue cheese, osso buco.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This might be the best red wine buy of this release. Lots of spice and overripe fresh black plummy fruit. The flavours are full and rich with a heavy mouthfeel. Buy a few. Won't improve with age but promises a long plateau with no decline in sight.
Cantine Di Ora 2016 is a Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore from the Veneto wine region. The wine is a traditional red wine blend of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella repassed (ripasso) over the pressed Amarone skins to enhance colour, body and flavour. Lots of ripe dark fruit and dark cherry flavours on this deep, smoky red. Decant for two hours and enjoy with a venison stew. - Community Wine Reviews
