Stunning! This 10 year-old Vintage will leave you speechless. Sensual aromas of toasty, buttery brioche and stone fruit. Gorgeous, lively bubbles on the palate with a long, toasty, stone fruit finish. A rare and special treat. Tasted Oct 02, 2016.

Stunning, elegant and refined, this Gaja Barbaresco is described by the winemaker as unique to any other Nebbiolo that ever came out of their vineyard. This particular vintage displayed more fruit and juiciness than any other. The complex layer of aromas consist of cherry, cranberry, violet and caramel. Sour cherry is immediate on the palate, followed by delicate floral notes and a hint of caramel. Medium-bodied with a great balance between crisp acidity and velvety tannins. The finish is long with a lingering of sour cherry on the palate. Wait two more years to get the best expression of this fantastic wine.

This is a fantastic sweet wine from Germany presenting a gorgeous, shimmery golden color in the glass. Luscious dried apricot, honey, citrus preserves and sweet spice pleasantly dance across the palate. Pair this wine with blue cheese or peach flan. Tasted January 31, 2016.

The perfect example of elegance and preciseness, this wine will captivate you from first glance. Light gold with delicate, tiny bubbles, this 2002 vintage was made with specially selected Chardonnay grapes from the Maso Pianizza vineyard residing at almost 600 meters above sea level. The high altitude contributes to this wine's crisp minerality, adding a layer of depth. I had the privilege of tasting this wine at the Don Maximiano Estate in Chile’s Aconcagua Valley with one if their top wine makers Wladimir Medel Pino on January 12, 2016. This 2013 blend is sourced from the prestigious Max vineyards surrounding the estate is comprised of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec, 6% Carmenere and 5% Petit Verdot. The alluvial soil found in the vineyard lends to the wines finesse and elegance. The growing season was described as perfect with cool temperatures in spring and fall, which allowed the grapes to hang for 15 days longer than average prior to harvest, thus contributing to more concentrated fruit. The aromas brought forth in this exquisite wine consist of damson plum, fresh, dark fruit, baking spice, dried rosemary, black pepper with notes of dark chocolate and leather.
