A wonderful full body red wine that will leave a lasting memory from the bouquet, to taste to finish. A fine bouquet of truffle, black berries, and spice will greet your nose. Well balanced tannins with ripe plum and black cherries and spices blend together to give you a velvety and satisfying drink. The finish just keeps giving long after the enjoyment of the wine. Overall, it is an outstanding wine! It pairs very well with lamb or other fatty meat.

This wine is a beautiful medium amber in colour. It feels full and generous in your mouth. Hints of orange, creme brulee on the nose. Aged 7 years in oak. Tastes like dessert in a glass and would be sufficient to serve as such. 15% vol. Tasted Oct 2019 www.voyagewriters.com

This classy and elegant wine is sometimes referred to as being “Audrey Hepburn-esque”. Aged to perfection in new and old French oak, the wine will offer a complex yet subtle nose of lemon, almond, and fresh cookies. The palate does not disappoint with medium body, bright yet not overwhelming acidity and minerality. The long finish will suit this graceful wine. Although the wine can easily be enjoyed on its own, suggested pairing include light tasting food such as seared scallops, or roasted chicken.

Has refined complexity and attractive subtleties. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in neutral French oak. On the nose a complex yet subtle combination of plum, raspberry, with elements of fresh tilled earth and light notes of leather. The velvety feel in the mouth with well-balanced tannin and fruit forward flavours and long finish, will make you want more. This wine can easily be enjoyed on its own, but we can also suggest venison or grilled salmon with earthy vegetables.

Aromas of blackberry, strawberries, and notes of vanilla, this wine is a joy to savour. The palate does not disappoint with soft tannins and beautiful complexity with a light peppery finish. This wine will pair well with grilled food such as steak.

Unusual Wine Experience

Attending the Burgundy Wine School in Beaune, France for a 3 hour lesson. It was very immersive and difficult to only "taste" the myriad of amazing wines instead of "drink" all of them.
