Andrea Shapiro scored this wine: 95/100
An exquisite Argentinian 70/30 blend of Malbec/Cab Franc. Iscay means two, and here there is a duo of two different varietals, identities, ripening styles and cultures. Both marry well together creating this harmonious fusion. Deep purple-red in colour with aromas of plums, strawberry, blackberry, dried bay leaves, violet and a small note of eucalyptus stem.
In the mouth, lots of light skinned plum, raspberry and dark cherry. Additionally, roasted red peppers really shine through with a developing heat spiciness. Dry with M+ body, tannin and finish with ripe strawberry and hints of herbs persisting. A European old world style. A delicious and refined, unfiltered blend. Incredibly good to drink now or further cellaring. Pair with spicy sausage, salami, charcuterie, duck and grilled vegetable dishes.
