Michel scored this wine: 90/100
A cult wine produced by an excellent organic/biodynamic Canadian producer, the 2011 Baco Noir is a dark, lush red , with ripe tannins. On the palate, blackberries, dark cherries, and blueberries lead the way with notes of tobacco, chocolate, cedar and vanilla sneaking in. A nice lengthy finish. Aged in French oak for 22 months.
Full bodied yet soft and supple, this wine will pair wonderfully with game meats, bbq hamburgers or a grilled vegetable terrine.
