Sean scored this wine: 96/100

Nov 16, 2014: Opaque black/purple, intense spirity nose with layers of licorice, dark berry fruit, baking spice, floral notes, dark chocolate. Full bodied, sweet, chocolate covered raisins, figs, plum, pepper, licorice... Beautifully balanced and a finish that lasts and lasts. Very young and primal at this point, but everything is in place for an exceptional wine in decades to come. Cellar for at least 10 years.

Deep garnet with slight bricking at the rim after 11 years, the nose is intense with currant, dark berry, cherry, spice, chocolate, cedar and savory notes with balsamic and oxo cubes. Concentrated and complex with dark cherry, berry, mocha, vanilla, eucalyptus, cedar and spice. Full bodied, rich and silky, the tannins have softened considerably. Ends with a very long and slightly warm finish from the near 15% abv. Better than last bottle several years ago, I suspect this is drinking in peak window now, but should hold several more years. Paired with herb crusted roast beef. Tasted March 2016.

This is an iconic and award winning sparkling wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes and aged on lees for at least 10 years. Medium gold hue, with an intense and expressive nose of tropical pineapple, peach, apple, toast, yeast, caramel and mineral. Fine creamy mousse on the palate with great complexity and freshness despite the age, showing candied lemon, apple, toffee, nuttiness and minerality - all perfectly balanced on a long long finish which begs for another sip. This is outstanding value in the context of premium sparkling/Champagne, perfect for celebrating special occasions. 94+ Tasted Oct 2015 at Ferrari portfolio tasting.

Sean scored this wine: 93/100

Deep ruby, purple in the glass, beautiful nose with great intensity showing cassis, dark berry and spice. Full bodied and so silky smooth on the palate, focused on the perfectly ripened fruit and hints of toasty oak spice and vanilla on the long finish. Impeccable balance with fine ripe tannins on the finish. So approachable now, but could be cellared for another 3-5 years. Drink now to 2020+ Tasted November 2015
