Mary scored this wine: 93/100

One of my favorite Zinfandel producers in California. This wine continues to be great vintage after vintage. Juicy, fruit forward, and full of lush blackberry fruits throughout and simply delicious for the price (typically found anywhere from $24-$30).

Brut Rosé

From the cool climate Alsace region of France, this wine is 100% Pinot Noir (one of the only red grapes that grow well in Alsace) made in the champagne method. Strawberry and citrus notes dominate the nose with a touch of sweet biscuit scents. Dry and delicate the palate continues with more strawberry, lemon, and orange peel. Crémants (sparkling wines made in France, but outside of the Champagne region that are made using the méthode champenoise) are incredible values and this is probably the best one I’ve had at this price. I found it on sale for around $11. If you can find it for under $12, get yourself a case (or more)! This wine will put a smile on your face no matter what kind of day you’ve had!

St. Francis Chardonnay 2007

I found this wine available for $10 and for that price it is and I say outstanding because you can’t really find a better California Chardonnay for that price point (retail between $10-$12/bottle). Very balanced in weight, this wine does a nice job integrating oak, vanilla, toast, with balanced lemon, spice and acidity. Seriously, for $10... Yes please!

You’ll find apple, pear, lemon, lime and a savory lingering minerality. Perfect for summer sipping. A great food pairing wine as it will pair with challenging ingredients (like grilled artichokes). It has a lot going on for a great price.

Deep dark cherry and black berry fruit aromas on the nose with some chocolate, figs, vanilla and spice. On the palate, the boldness of the fruit is still there with some additional spice, evident toast, and a lingering juicy and spicy finish. This is a great value wine that you can drink any day of the week. Food Pairing- Great for grilled meat dishes (steak, ribs, burgers) or just sipping whilst watching your favorite mid-week TV shows.
