Le Grand Vin - enough said. Well it would be enough said if I didn't want to sing its praises a little more. Big, long finish, smooth tannins - however, there is still enough room in the length that more aging would improve the overall experience. Cigar/tobacco is the background note that I liked the best.

We were given this wine in Spain this past summer - drank it my last night there with tapas and duck confit in a puff pastry. Long, long, long finish. Make sure you decant - we spent the first 30 minutes commenting on how much the nose changed as it breathed. Smooth tannins, hot ripe dry fruit. If I wasn't impatient I could have let it cellar for a few more years - but I regret nothing.

I just discovered that I love this craft ale. Comes in a 750 mL bottle - just released at the lcbo Sept 1. Hoppy, spruce/pine, and pairs great with blue cheese. Break from the ordinary and show up at a party this fall with a bottle of beer for sharing.

I am so glad I bought three bottles. Deep ruby colour, vanilla notes on the nose, so smooth - the tannins are perfect with grilled lamb and ribeye

This is the wine you buy your boss if you want a promotion. Best local pinot noir I've ever tasted. The Cadillac (or Mercedes if you prefer) of Ontario pinot noir. This will last for years as the finish is already long.
