Plush and sexy with a satin-smooth texture. Gorgeous aromas of smokey cherries. Medium-bodied and mouth-watering. How did they [do] it so right for this price? Gorgeous depth with black cherry and smoky aromas. Supple, plush and medium-bodied. Worthy of a sonnet.

Pinot Noir food pairings: pork liver pates, tuna, grilled salmon, roasted chicken, duck and other game birds.

Bright pale ruby fills the glass, cherry, leather with earthy undertones that hint at a more classic Burgundian style Pinot Noir, with a lasting and mouthwatering cherries. Wonderful with a variety of cheeses and charcuterie boards.

The Henry of Pelham wines are created under the motto: great wine is grown, not made - focusing on the land and the grape itself rather than the science after the grapes are harvested. The land from the the Estate vineyard is one of the warmest in the Niagara region, and combined with the heavy clay soils create wines with complex and intense flavours.

Pale garnet with aromas of smoky cherry, leather, blueberry, and a little dusty herb. The taste is tart cherry, with some of the dried herb aspect coming through as well. Light, silky, and classy. Pair with soft cheeses.

This was an interesting Pinot. At 6 years old it's starting to show some brickish hues. Lots of earthy tones, leather and smoke. There is a ripe fruit component of raspberry and cranberry and the wine still has some good acidity and smooth tannins. This would be a great match with some truffle infused cheese. This was a great year for Pinot at Henry of Pelham. This vintage has big mouthfeel, tons of classic earth flavours on the nose and palate and has aged very nicely. A great value Pinot Noir at $16.95. The catch is 2007's will be tough to find, so I recommend buying the 2010 and letting it sit for 2-3 years.

Smoke and polished cherry wood,hints of lambskin leather:those aromas made me smile.
The mouthfeel is fairly intense.Still this heady mix of wood and cherries.Quite hefty but not coarse. Subtle hints of metal and salt. A bit tannic on the finale,so i'd let it sleep a bit in my cellar,or enjoy it with wild boar?

Delicious with fresh cherry, vanilla, a touch of asphalt and bitter red fruit, but it is clear that this wine will continue to improve with cellar age.

With intense flavour for a mid-weight red, this wine shows pure berry fruit with a pronounced toasted quality as well as notes of roasted game and bitter chocolate, finishing with fine, mouth coating tannins. Score: 90 Source: Beppi Crosariol, Globe and Mail

Made from several vineyard sites, primarily our own estate. Harvest dates September 21 to October 9th, 2007. Yields of 1 to 3 Tonnes/acre (~17 to 52 hL/ha)Fermented in stainless and aged in European oak with 30% new.
