During the 1870’s Randall and Bradford Lange’s Great-Grandparents settled in Lodi and began a family farm with their son, Grandpa Albert. The farm grew year over year and by 1916 they had their family’s first grape-ranch. It was on this ranch where their dad, Harold, was born in 1920. Just like his father, it was natural for Harold to work with the family to gain experience to carry on the family’s agricultural roots.

Harold expanded the family farm, and when Randall and Bradford returned from college they continued the tradition of working the vineyards. In 1974 they decided to farm on their own and as their business grew, their family did as well – by 1982 the fifth generation was here.

As the kids grew up on the family’s ranch, they developed an appreciation for winegrowing by working summers and harvest. Like Randall and Bradford, after college they each decided to come back to the family farm, so they took the next step and built a winery in 2006. Today each member of the family have unique responsibilities within the winery and viticulture teams, continuing their agricultural roots and growing our winery and wine brands.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable: A Tipsy Search

  Best Books of the Year

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
