The Upper Galilee mountain range is much more than an abode for Galil Mountain Winery; it’s the winery’s heart and soul. Sitting in a breathtaking spot atop one of Israel's highest mountain ranges, the innovatively designed winery is committed to revitalizing the region’s rich and ancient history of winemaking. Over 2,000 years ago, the mountain range was a choice location for the cultivation of quality grapevines. Today, the area’s topography, soil and climate make it an ideal home for the vibrant Galil Mountain Winery.

A down-to-earth winery fostering long-lasting relationships with partners throughout the wine production and distribution chain, Galil Mountain Winery is fully committed to its environment. An inseparable part of its surroundings, the winery employs a holistic approach integrating agriculture, tourism and industry at the local and regional levels.

Led by its flagship offerings – Yiron, Meron and Avivim – the winery's portfolio also reflects a deep connection to its rugged environs. Renowned as the Upper Galilee's leading winery as it enters its second decade of existence, Galil Mountain Winery produces 1 million bottles per year, making it Israel's seventh-largest wine producer.

Established as a joint venture headed by the world-renowned Golan Heights Winery in 2000, Galil Mountain Winery preserves the delicate balance between tradition and technology. Leveraging six area vineyards, a state-of-the-art production plant and proven expertise, Galil Mountain Winery offers an inspired selection of international award-winning wines that remains true to its roots.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
