Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Galil Mountain Winery 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon is a Kosher for Passover 100% Cab Sauv. produced from sustainably grown grapes sourced from the Upper Galilee Mountain vineyards. Cultivated over 2,000 years ago, the mountain range vineyard is more than 1,000 metres above sea level. Deep ruby in the glass, the wine is spicy on the nose with dried sweet tobacco leaf, savoury herbs, mint, cherry compote and stewed prunes and is dry, medium-bodied with fresh cherry, stewed plums, dried tobacco leaf, anise, savoury herbs, nicely balanced with fresh acidity and velvety tannins. Very easy to enjoy and mouth-filling, it is a perfect pairing for a slow-braised beef brisket. Tasted April 2022.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
