Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The largest two components of the blend suggest Bordeaux, 33% Semillon and 30% Sauvignon Blanc. After that, the Bordeaux blueprints go out the window with 18% Chardonnay, 16% Viognier, and 3% Gewurztraminer. Apricot, ginger, and vanilla define an exotic, unusual, and ultimately enjoyable nose. All varietals were oak aged, and exhibit pleasant and balanced oak character. Age has teased out honey and nutty aromas. Long finish on this very interesting wine. Try it with a simpler chicken or white fish dish, incorporate a little lemon, and allow the wine to be the star of the show.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon with a touch of Viognier and Gewurztraminer, rounding out the flavours and aromas nicely. A pretty pale lemon colour with an inviting bouquet expressing pink grapefruit, nectarine, yellow peppers, fresh cilantro and a hint of white roses. Flavours bounce back with yellow apples, tart pears, grapefruit pith, pine nuts and a dash of white pepper heat carrying into the medium finish. Acidity is mouthwateringly high with a nice zesty zing carrying into the finish. This will be a superb accompaniment to moderately spicy honey garlic dishes or fish. 88 points
Kimberly Moore rated this wine as 85/100
The wine is a blend of 32% Sémillon, 31% Sauvignon Blanc, 18% Chardonnay, 15% Viognier and 4% Gewürztraminer. Very attractive nose featuring orange blossoms, lychee, fresh apricot, tangerine, Royal Gala apple and toasty oak. Dry with an intriguing array of flavours to match the complex aromas. There is fresh and lively acidity on the mid-palate to brighten the whole package. A great example of J-L Groux’s artistry as a winemaker. A terrific wine. Source: Vintages Wine Catalogue.
