Claude Décarie reviewed this wine as follows:

Le grand producteur de Valpolicella décédé
On January 15, 2012, the wine world lost one of its greatest artisans when Giuseppe Quintarelli passed away at the age of 84. An uncompromising traditionalist, throughout his illustrious career Quintarelli lovingly crafted wines of elegance and purity, never bowing to fashion or trends. The just-released 2002 vintage of his benchmark Valpolicella is wonderfully fresh while simultaneously displaying complex nuances from its ten-year development. A must-have for devotees of this true icon of Veneto. Source: Vintages Wine Panel

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
