Reviews and Ratings

Nina rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

This wine spent a few years in our cellar. Needs decanting.
There was a lot of sediment on the bottle's shoulders.
Beautiful wine!
Deep garnet color, opaque in the glass.
Dry berries and cooked fruit on the nose.
On the palate dry, full bodied, very big wine! Good, soft tannins. Lot's of cherries, jam, spices, oak, cranberry, raspberry.
Long finish with raisin and spicy notes.
Amazing!!!
It's great now,can age more.
Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The 2007 Alexander Valley Redemption Zinfandel is full bodied, integrated wine with intense aromas of cherry, coffee bean, oak, vanilla and coconut. It has a nice structure with firm acidity and refined tannins (decant for 15-30 min). Though the wine is bit too extracted and with 15.7% alcohol, the finish is long and quite balanced. Drink now or for the next 10 years. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 91 pts - a recommended buy. This wine is a better sipper rather than food friendly, unless it is served with sweets. Tasted July/11.
Deep garnet violet color. Classic aromas of mashed raisins, dried raspberries, and cracked pepper follow through on a supple, plush entry to a fruity medium-full body with great depth, mouthwatering acidity and a high-wire balance of alcohol. Finishes with a long, pure, craisin and plum skin cascade. A delicious, textbook example of Dry Creek zinfandel. Drink: [Until 2013]. Score: 93 Source: Tastings.com
