Gorgeous blackberry and plum skin flavours with dried herbs, spices and dried flowers. Coffee and ground fruit pit on the finish. 90 Points

Cherry blossom chocolate treat in a glass! A rich dark garnet hue in the glass, with aromas of dark cherries, chocolate, and hints of mint. Velvety tannins and balanced acidity. Perfect with lamb or juicy hamburgers.
Tasted March 2018.
Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This food-friendly wine has aromas of juicy black plums, as well as underwood, autumn leaves, eucalyptus, and a hint of cinnamon. The tannins are chewy and there are flavours of ripe dark fruit and espresso.

Tasted November 2017
Yalumba's The Scribbler (2013) is a classic, half and half red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz from the Barossa Valley. Good value here with this consistently delicious full-bodied red with fleshy dark plum, ripe dark berries, dark chocolate and a hint of mint on the palate. Tannins are firm and the wine is balanced with a good acidity. Decant for one hour prior to serving with a Kangaroo striploin steak. - Community Wine Reviews
