Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Perfect BBQ blend of Merlot, Cab Franc, Cab Sauv, Syrah and Sangiovese. An ambitious blend indeed! Full-bodied and an almost opaque colour in the glass with some good looking legs. A mix of red and black fruit, vanilla and smoky charred wood. The tannins are firm and require taming with a good dose of red meat. Good cleansing acidity to wash it down. I suggest decanting 1-2 hours prior to serving.
Tasted: Sept 2015
A Niagara red wine blend that changes each vintage in terms of the percentages for each grape but includes: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Sangiovese. Produced by Stratus Vineyards. Nice heft. - Community Wine Reviews
