Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pale lemon colour with peach, nectarine, guava, pineapple and some tropical fruit.
Flavours consist of bright lemon, white grapefruit, tart kiwi, nectarine, starfruit, a touch of gooseberry. Also - Flint and gravel with a graphite pencil note present. Balanced, medium plus acidity and body. Dry with a sweet finish, reflecting pineapple, nectarine and graphite. Clean, fresh and vibrant.
Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This light yellow organic Sauvignon Blanc has passion fruit, lychee, and citrus aromas. It also has mineral notes and a hint of petrol.

On the palate, it is crisp with flavours of citrus, mostly grapefruit.

Tasted September 2017
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This 100% organically certified Marlborough Sauv Blanc was crafted using sustainable viticultural practices and "Biogrow" approved yeast.
It's a bright, fresh Sauv Blanc with pretty melon and orange rind fragrances, followed by juicy grapefruit and savoury nuts on the palate. Enjoy with chicken and seasonal vegetables.
Tasted September 2017 with the winemaker, Simon Fells.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Bright and fresh, this Sauvignon Blanc comes from the largest organic producer in New Zealand, Villa Maria. This winery followed the most stringent organic rules of Canada to create this wine. Utilizing the Biogro approved yeast strains (there are only 2 certified in the Canadian market), Villa Maria created a vibrant Sauvignon Blanc with an aroma and flavour profile of pink grapefruit, mandarin peel and slight petrol notes. Well-rounded, with with a citrus persistence. Tasted with winemaker Simon Fell, September 2017.
David Skinner rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Grown organically in the Templar Block of the Awatere Valley, the robe is a medium straw colour and lively. The wine has held the Biogrow certification since 2012 and these sustainable practices have yielded a wine that oozes lemongrass, grapefruit, white peach and a hint of honey and melon. Solid acid levels and more melon and citrus on the palate lead to a satisfying full finish.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Made with organic grapes certified by Biogro and approved yeast strains. Fresh and bright with lemon, floral, melon and grassy notes. Gentle and uplifting, great summer day sipper. Enjoy with lightly sauteed shrimp and salad.
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Light yellow colour. Grapefruit, herbs, and flint aromas with a long citrusy grapefruit finish. Score 88. (S.Segard, reviewed Sept. 25, 2017)
