Tormaresca Trentangeli (2015) is always a crowd-pleaser. This is a full-bodied, inky red blend of Aglianico with Cabernet and Syrah. On the nose the wine is ripe blackberries, smoke and spicy. Look for flavours of ripe, dark prunes, raisins, smoke, and vanilla. Great acidity for food with a long, smoky finish. Pair with a roast leg of lamb.

Food pairings: grilled pork chops, rack of BBQ ribs, grilled lamb, lentil dishes, meaty lasagne.

Reviews and Ratings

Love Tormaresca Trentangeli (2015) from Castel Del Monte, Puglia wine region. Always a crowd-pleaser. This is a full-bodied red with so much going on. First, it's colour -- so inky and deep red. On the nose the wine is ripe blackberries, smoke and spicy. The red blend is Aglianico with Cabernet and Syrah -- all organically grown. On the palate look for flavours of ripe, dark prunes, raisins, smoke, and vanilla. Great acidity for food with a long, smoky finish. So good. Pair it with a garlic and rosemary roast leg of lamb. - Community Wine Reviews
