A terrific Californian Merlot for the price point! Smooth, supple, full-bodied and mouth-filling with lusciously ripe flavours of black plum, cassis and blackberry. Just enough toasty oak to wrap up this package nicely. Pair with meat lovers' pizza.

Merlot food pairings: lamb, steak, stew.

Reviews and Ratings

Courtney Flood rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Light, straightforward merlot. Plum and cherry
Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This ripe Merlot has supple tannins and refreshing acidity that carry the strawberry, plum, black berries, walnut, and baking spices through to a warming mid-length finish.
Enjoy today or cellar for 3 - 5 years.
Pair with charcuterie or rich pasta dishes.
Date tasted: August 2014.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

A lighter bodied style of Merlot. Not overly complex. Cherry, plum, vanilla. Present tannins. Pair with flank steak or BBQ'd burgers.
Tasted August 2014. 86 points. Matt Steeves - @QuercusVino
Classic in style, our Merlot is rich, complex, fruit-forward and smooth.
We sourced our grapes from several estate vineyards located in the Central Coast.

The wine was barrel aged for 12 months, imparting caramel, mocha and toasty oak notes.

In 2011, the cool weather produced fruit with bright acidity and complex flavors.
