Reviews and Ratings

Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Stemmy, herbal notes underscore the ripe cassis, tobacco and cedar notes nicely, making for an intriguing nose. Riper, sweeter fruit features on the palate, with milk chocolate and eucalyptus notes. The acidity is fresh, the body is full and dense, and the tannins are just nicely grippy.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Earthiness and ripe cherry on the nose, with medium acidity - lovely jammy plums and vanilla on the palate, hints of cedar and chocolate.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This is warm, sappy, and inviting. It features plum, warm spice, herb and a touch of vanilla pod. Good stuff. 89 Points. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)

Nose of cedar, tobacco and leather. Medium body with full flavours of dark fruit.
Nice
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lots of cedar and cherry on the nose, as well as a touch of vanilla and earthiness. Nicer on the palate with some chocolate showing up as well. The mouth-feel is fairly plush, with medium acidity. Medium plum and vanilla finish.
Carola Price rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Clear and bright cherry red.Plum, Blackberry, some milk chocolate, woody character on the nose. In the mouth there is more wood and some vanilla, earth and lots of black fruit. Medium bodied it falls a little short. Pair with braised beef, veggie pizza, arugula salad with tons of parmesan shavings and Devil's Food cake. Drink now to 2 years
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Black fruit and cedar on the nose and palate with some cocoa and dried herbs appearing on the palate. Moderate tannins on the finish.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Candied berry and not much else. Acidity is mild, tannins are mild, body is moderate. A nice crowd pleaser party wine. Tasted Jan 17 - @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
