Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Certified Organic. Medium ruby colour with cherry, plum, floral, cedar, compost, vanilla and fresh cut green pepper. A fresh mouthfeel with supple tannins and bright acidity. Enjoy with Quebec beef tortiere pie, game, a fully loaded BBQ hamburger.
Tasted: June 2015
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

The 2013 vintage of Niagara Cab Franc shows notes typical of cool climate with green bell pepper, black pepper, cedar, tart cherry. This wine shows high acidity, medium tannins, dry, tart and mouthwatering. Enjoy with a gourmet elk or bison burger and all the fixings. Tasted Dec 2015.
Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 83/100 with the following review:

A young wine that should pair well with many dishes…

Appearance: Light, ruby red
Nose: Green cedar, leather, tobacco
Taste: Thin, pepper, cedar/oak, sour cherries. Should be good with a variety of foods (meat-based and vegetarian), as well as cheese plates
Finish: the pepper, cedar/oak and sour cherries continue on the finish, which is quite long.
Overall impression: Some complexity, yet still young. A good Cabernet Franc. I would be interested to see how it evolves over the next five years, though its evolution is perhaps unlikely given the twist-top cap, which is unfortunate, I think.

Value: 2 out of 5
This Niagara Cabernet Franc offers polished tannins and a nose of dark fruit and spices. - Community Wine Reviews
