Fresh and youthful with intense blueberry, dark plum, red berry, earthy violet, oak spice flavours and smoky flavours on the palate. Good cellaring candidate for about five years.

Cabernet Franc food pairings: Brazilian slow-cooked pork, roast turkey, beef and black bean stew, shepherd's pie with root vegetables.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Beamsville Bench, Niagara Escarpment wine region, Southbrook's Saunders Family Vineyard 2017 Cabernet Franc is a vegan-friendly, single vineyard, cool-climate Cab Franc with blueberry, blackberry, with tart raspberry and cedar spice flavours on the palate. The winery is certified organic and vegan. So good, but with incredibly chewy tannins. Give it about two years in cellar for it to start showing its very best. - Community Wine Reviews
