Natalie's Score: 91/100 Schild Estate 2015 is a great value Shiraz from the Barossa Valley, South Australia. This is a big, bold Shiraz with fleshy blackberry, black plum and savoury spice, rosemary and sage flavours and a very long mouth-watering and smoky finish.
Shiraz food pairings: veal, roasted stuffed turkey, hamburgers, pizza, barbecued beef.

Reviews and Ratings
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review: Wow! From the first sniff, I knew I’d love this Australian Barossa Valley Shiraz. It kicks off with delicious ripe dark berries, dark chocolate and spice aromas. The full-bodied, spicy palate gives lots of dark berries, savoury notes, dark chocolate, leather and white pepper. Enjoy with a rare steak now or cellar for up to 10 yrs. Tasted August 2018
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review: Despite having been slapped on the wrist for some not so savoury practices, this wine has always been good and I've never lost my faith in the brand. The wine is simply too good. Blackberry compote, dark chocolate, bay, spice, stewed meat, iron, a hit of eucalyptus and savoury herbs. 92 Points.
Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review: Very dark ruby in colour with aromas of plum, blackberry, raspberry, dark chocolate, leather and black pepper. It is full bodied with well balanced acidity and tannins. It has flavours of blackberry, plum, black pepper, raspberry, and dark chocolate. This will pair well BBQ’d ribs. This Shiraz is amazing value for price and quaility. Tasted on September 16, 2018.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: Big, bold, dry, balanced with ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, baking spice. Pair with authentic beef asada tacos or baked chicken and mole sauce. Tasted 2015 vintage in Sept 2018. 91 points. Great value.
Mary Anne van Gaal rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: This beautiful bottle holds a beautiful Shiraz. Aromas of dark berry, chocolate and pepper are followed by flavours of blackberry, baking spice and leather. It’s not as juicy a Shiraz as some, but holds its own with soft tannins and a balanced finish. It would be lovely paired with a grilled, garlic marinated, boneless leg of lamb. Tasted September 16, 2018.
Pam Hatton rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: Inky black with blackberry, vanilla and a bit of oak. Fruity but not the old Oz jammy fruitbomb. Fresh, soft tannins, full bodied, long finish.

Definitely needs protein -- a roasted Tomahawk steak comes to mind. Drink now and for the next 10 years. - Community Wine Reviews
