You can taste the old vine character in the complexity of this wine. Gorgeously complex with layers of dark red fruit and some smoke. Terrific finish.  This should be your go-to party wine as it'll please so many palates with its berry vibrancy yet no heavy-handed oak treatment. One of California's flagship producers of zinfandel, and it shows in the glass.

Zinfandel food pairings: beef brisket, meatloaf, seared steak, dry-rubbed ribs.

Reviews and Ratings

Donna Hargrove rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Bold and fruity with deep berry flavour. Delicious with beef and tomato sauces. A great wine for the fall.
Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I do love an Old Vine Zinfandel, and this is one of my favorites. Juicy ripe fruits with spice and a hint of vanilla and oak, this is the ultimate BBQ wine. My friends at work who have tried this wine have become Zinfandel fans as well. It's a keeper.
The winery names of some of the most iconic and respected makers of California Zinfandel start with R, and this is one of them. Supple and smooth yet with enough tannin to create a balanced structure. - Community Wine Reviews
