You can taste the old vine character in the complexity of this wine. Gorgeously complex with layers of dark red fruit and some smoke. Terrific finish.

Zinfandel food pairings: beef brisket, homemade meatloaf.

Reviews and Ratings

Joel Baxter rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Ravenswood Old Vine Zinfadel is my go-to wine. It’s a wine I absolutely love as it’s delicious. What you’ll find with this mouth-watering wine are seductive aromas of black cherry, raspberry, blueberry, and a splinter of oak. It pairs with a wide variety of foods, and it’s a wine that is a crowd pleaser. As such, whenever I’m hosting a dinner party, or a BBQ in the backyard, I often uncork a bottle of Ravenswood Zinfandel.

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I love an old vine Zinfandel so much I would like to try all of them. I had this one a couple of times while on vacation. I love all the flavors of plums and dark fruits, and the vanilla toasted oak. Great wine and very food friendly.
The aromas are rich and intense with black cherry, plum, clove, chocolate cake and burnt sugar. Full bodied and mouth-coating with a sweet fruit core edged by structured tannins. Source: Vintages Wine Panel
